Mr Timble

A word from the author

The idea of creating a children’s book first began when my own children were small. Storytime, especially at bedtime, was one of our most cherished rituals, a cosy time filled with warmth, imagination and connection. I remember my children asking for the same favourite books night after night, and those quiet evenings, snuggled up together, remain some of my fondest memories as a parent.

As life grew busier with work and the everyday demands of parenting, I didn’t have the chance to fully pursue the dream of writing a story of my own. Then, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. In the midst of that challenge, I finally found the space to bring my long-held dream to life. Out of that time came Mr Timble, a little detective mouse with mysteries to solve. Creating his world gave me both comfort and joy when I needed it most.

Today, I’m incredibly proud to share the growing Mr Timble series. My dream is that these gentle little mysteries will become stories children reach for again and again, and that parents everywhere will find in them the same joy of sharing those special, snuggly moments at bedtime.
