About Cathy Miller Morland | Author of Mr Timble

Cathy Miller Morland is the author and creator of the Mr Timble children’s book series, a collection of gentle rhyming mysteries for children aged 2–7.

The idea for Mr Timble began with Cathy’s memories of reading to her own children. Bedtime stories were a treasured part of family life, filled with imagination, laughter and those special quiet moments shared together.

Years later, after being diagnosed with breast cancer, Cathy finally found the time and inspiration to bring her long-held dream of writing a children’s book to life. From that time came Mr Timble, a kind and curious little detective mouse with a magnifying glass and mysteries to solve.

Each Mr Timble story is written in gentle rhyme and combines mystery, friendship and problem-solving with beautifully illustrated adventures. The books are created for toddlers, preschool children and early readers aged 2–7 and are especially suited to reading aloud, bedtime and storytime.

Cathy works with illustrator Julia Rogova to bring Mr Timble and his world to life. Together, the stories are designed to encourage children to look for clues, use their imagination and enjoy the fun of solving a mystery alongside Mr Timble.

Cathy’s hope is simple: that Mr Timble becomes a character children ask for again and again, and that the books help families create their own special reading memories together.
